Handkerchief | Lantern Fused Glass Workshop

Create two beautiful glass pieces in your own private workshop!

Enjoy a relaxed, hands-on fused glass experience where you'll create a unique handkerchief-style candle holder and a decorative glass panel for a lantern.

With personal guidance throughout, you'll explore a wonderful selection of colourful glass materials, including frits, powders, stringers, confetti and copper inclusions, to bring your own designs to life.

How will you work with the glass?

Unlike our Small and Large Taster Workshops, this workshop uses one base layer of glass, which you'll decorate with your chosen materials.

This keeps your finished pieces at a suitable weight and thickness, particularly important for shaping the candle holder and ensuring your glass fits correctly into the lantern.

Is This the Right Workshop for You?

This is a lovely choice if you'd like to make two beautiful, practical pieces for your home.

If you're new to fused glass and would prefer to explore a wider range of techniques, including layering glass and creating more three-dimensional designs, we'd recommend our Small or Large Taster Workshops instead.

Both experiences offer plenty of creativity — it simply depends on what you'd most enjoy making!

Workshop Prices

The more people you bring, the less you pay per person!

Choose Your Workshop Duration

2 hours – Standard workshop

Enjoy two hours of creative fun designing your glass pieces.

3 hours – Add an extra hour for £35 per group

Prefer a more leisurely pace? Add an extra hour to explore the materials and enjoy more time creating. The £35 is shared between everyone in your group.

Your Finished Creations

Your glass pieces will be kiln-fired, shaped and finished as required, usually within approximately one week.

We'll contact you when they're ready for collection, or postage can be arranged at an additional cost.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Gift Vouchers

Standard Private Workshop Bookings

• 21 days or more notice: Reschedule to an available date or request a full refund.
• 14–20 days' notice: Reschedule subject to availability. Refunds are only available if your place is filled by another booking.
• Less than 14 days' notice: No refunds or rescheduling. You may transfer your place to someone else.

Gift Voucher Bookings

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and valid for 12 months from purchase.

• 14 days or more notice: Rescheduling is available, subject to availability.
• Less than 14 days' notice: Rescheduling is only possible if your place can be filled.

You may transfer your booking to someone else.

Expired vouchers are non-refundable. Extensions may be offered at our discretion, subject to an extension fee.

If We Need to Cancel

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your workshop, we'll offer a full refund or an alternative date. We cannot be held responsible for additional costs such as travel or accommodation.
